In diesem ganz besonderen Workshop begrüssen wir als Gastkursleitein Alice Caroline, die bekannte Quilterin aus Grossbritannien und Ambassadorin der neuen BERNINA 580 Liberty Edition. Alice näht mit Ihnen in einem exklusiven Kurs den farbenfrohen "Rainbow Quilt" nach ihrem Design. Der Kurs richtet sich sowohl an interessierte Quilterinnen als auch an alle, die ihre Leidenschaft für das Quilten erst noch entdecken möchten. Während eines Tages lernen Sie verschiedene Techniken kennen und erweitern Ihre Nähkenntnisse Schritt für Schritt unter professioneller Anleitung. Der Kurs wird zweisprachig (Englisch und Deutsch) geführt. Unterstützt wird Alice Caroline von Kursleiterin Eveline Hunziker.

Alice Caroline Garrett is the founder of Alice Caroline, a creative studio in the Cotswolds dedicated to the world of Liberty fabrics, sewing projects, quilts, kits, and patterns. Her love of Liberty began in childhood when she discovered her first Liberty treasures in her grandmother’s fabric and quilt collection.

For more than a decade, Alice has been designing her own sewing patterns and premium kits, which are now also available at the iconic Liberty store in London. She is particularly passionate about exploring colour, pattern, and fabric combinations, and about passing on sewing and quilting traditions to new generations of makers and creatives.

As an ambassador for the BERNINA 580 Liberty Edition, Alice will host the workshop on 9 September 2026, sharing inspiring insights into her creative work with Liberty fabrics.


Eveline Hunziker is a qualified textile crafts teacher who completed her training at the Teachers’ Training College for Textile and Crafts Education in 2003. She taught at primary school level for ten years before moving into adult education. In July 2013, she joined BERNINA Zürich as a course instructor, trainer, and sales consultant, both in the store and at trade fairs. Since October 2023, she has been responsible for managing the BERNINA Zürich education and training program and now teaches only a limited number of courses focusing on patchwork and quilting, embroidery software, and machine operation. Alongside her role at BERNINA, she runs her own sewing studio, where she undertakes a wide range of sewing and embroidery projects for various well-known clients. Participants particularly value not only her strong teaching skills but also her extensive expertise in the functionality of sewing, embroidery, and overlock machines, as well as their accessories.
