In this very special workshop, we are delighted to welcome Alice Caroline as our guest instructor – the renowned quilter from the UK and ambassador for the new BERNINA 580 Liberty Edition. In this exclusive course, Alice will guide you through sewing the colourful “Rainbow Quilt”, based on her own design. The course is aimed at both keen quilters and anyone who is yet to discover their passion for quilting. Over the course of a day, you’ll learn various techniques and expand your sewing skills step by step under professional guidance. The course will be conducted in two languages (English and German). Alice Caroline is supported by course leader Eveline Hunziker.

Alice Caroline Garrett is the founder of Alice Caroline, a creative studio in the Cotswolds dedicated to the world of Liberty fabrics, sewing projects, quilts, kits, and patterns. Her love of Liberty began in childhood when she discovered her first Liberty treasures in her grandmother’s fabric and quilt collection.

For more than a decade, Alice has been designing her own sewing patterns and premium kits, which are now also available at the iconic Liberty store in London. She is particularly passionate about exploring colour, pattern, and fabric combinations, and about passing on sewing and quilting traditions to new generations of makers and creatives.

As an ambassador for the BERNINA 580 Liberty Edition, Alice will host the workshop on 9 September 2026, sharing inspiring insights into her creative work with Liberty fabrics.


Eveline Hunziker ist gelernte Handarbeitslehrerin und hat ihre Ausbildung am Arbeitslehrerinnenseminar im Jahr 2003 abgeschlossen. Sie unterrichtete 10 Jahre an der Primarschule, bevor sie auf die Erwachsenenstufe wechselte. Im Juli 2013 kam sie zu BERNINA Zürich als Kursleiterin, Instruktorin und Verkaufsberaterin im Geschäft und an Messen. Seit Oktober 2023 leitet sie das Kurswesen von BERNINA Zürich und unterrichtet nur noch wenige Kurse zum Thema Patchwork und Quilten, Sticksoftware und Maschinenkenntnisse. In ihrem Nähatelier, das sie nebenbei betreibt, führt sie verschiedene Näh- und Stickaufträge für diverse namhafte Kunden aus. Neben Ihren ausgeprägten didaktischen Fähigkeiten werden Ihre hervorragenden Kenntnisse zu Funktionen der Näh-, Stick- und Overlockmaschinen und deren Zubehör von Kursteilnehmern besonders geschätzt.
